Studio 1 - Now Open

Professionally treated 6m x 3.5m studio, ideal for speech radio, podcasts, and small-scale live music (acoustic/basic electrified, no drums).

The space seats up to 5 guests at a Soundcraft Series 15 desk, with multitrack recording via Cymatic Audio uTrack24 and Adobe Audition (or your own DAW/laptop). Remote guests can join via Zoom.

Facilities include a kitchen, toilet, piano, and a wide selection of microphones. Audio recording only – no video (though you're welcome to bring your own)

Studio 2 - Coming Soon!

Over the summer, we’ve been hard at work building a brand-new second studio at our Risborough Street base. This exciting addition means Resonance FM can now expand its live broadcasting capacity—effectively doubling the number of shows we’re able to host and stream on on Resonance FM and Resonance Extra. With more live airtime available, we can bring you even richer, more diverse live content while opening the doors to a new generation of voices and ideas.

The second studio also creates fresh opportunities for our community of volunteers, artists, and audio-makers. From hands-on training to live production experience, more people will be able to get involved in broadcasting and learn valuable industry skills.

And for podcasters, producers, and audio professionals, the new facility will be available to book, directly supporting Resonance’s charitable mission and helping sustain independent, adventurous radio for everyone.

Recycling Our Studio

Much of the equipment and fittings - including the Soundcraft Desk - have been recycled from our former Borough High Street space, giving a second life to desks, soundproofing, and broadcast gear. We’ve also been fortunate to receive generous donations of time, kit and technical support from friends and partners who share our commitment to independent radio. This resourceful approach not only reduces waste but also helps us stretch every penny further in service of our listeners and volunteers.

Can you help us find CDJs?

We’re still on the lookout for one key piece of equipment to complete the set-up: a pair of CDJs. Having these industry-standard decks in place will greatly enhance our live broadcasting capability and open up even more opportunities for DJs, artists, and producers to share their work on Resonance. If you or your organisation could help by donating a set, you’d be directly supporting the growth of our charitable work and the creativity of hundreds of contributors.

If you want to help us finish this project - please take a look at our October Fundraising Events Programme, Merch Store or consider making a direct donation today. Thank you.
